Our road haulage special department of operations, plans and provides transportation solutions for watercraft supplies and spare parts in real time. Continuing the expansion partnerships with shipowners, we successfully carried out a road haulage project realization from Norway.
It was namely about watercraft supplies to be delivered to the shipyard within a very short deadline in orderthe renovation of the ship to move forward within the designated time schedules. The transport from Norway to the shipyard carried out by road within 5 days, the customs clearance time included, which is a benchmark.
To achieve this objective, special dedicate trucks were deployed, at intermediate terminals while their position monitored by GPS system and the trailer replacement procedure was planned without any load-unload at zero wait state. Considering the drivers' working time the trucks were manned with one additional driver to ensure a risk-free transport with no waste of precious time.
We took over entirely the arrangement of the ferry tickets for the trucks to ensure their space in the ships, chosen for this specific transport.
On behalf of our client we arranged the insurance of his cargo, a standard practice for goods of such value and importance.
The successful accomplishment of the project and the satisfaction of such a demanding client triggered the assignment to Elxis SA the transportations from Sweden and Norway for the projects following directly.
We are deeply aware of the fact that in such cases the schedule punctuality is absolutely binding with no compromise at all. A proper planning and cooperation with reliable partners, is the only way for the delivery times to be achieved.
Especially on the Scandinavia route we undertake:
- Transportation to and from Sweden
